Dubai caps foreign airline flights amid Iran crisis
Dubai Airports told carriers in a March 27 email seen by Reuters that foreign airlines would be limited to one round trip per day to DXB and DWC from April 20 to May 31, extending curbs tied to the Iran crisis. The Federation of Indian Airlines asked India to press Dubai to lift the limits or consider reciprocal action against Emirates and flydubai, saying Dubai-based carriers are not similarly restricted. Indian airlines are most exposed: Air India and Air India Express scheduled more than 750 DXB flights for April and May, IndiGo 481, and SpiceJet 61, while IndiGo says underused capacity is significant.
