Polish police launch project against Ukraine weapons smuggling
Poland is preparing for a possible rise in illegal weapons entering from Ukraine after the war with Russia, Rzeczpospolita reported, citing Adam Radon of the Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police. The response includes Project Trident, a €1.5 million program for officer training, tracking electronics, X-ray systems, drones and night-vision gear. Radon said Poland must act as a filter for weapons moving west, while Ukrainian services are already finding warehouses and hideouts.
