HBO, A24 and Zac Efron develop Angel Heart series
HBO and A24 are developing a drama series adaptation of William Hjortsberg's Fallen Angel and its sequel, with Zac Efron attached to star and executive produce and Zach Baylin writing and executive producing. Jonathan van Tulleken is expected to direct several episodes and to executive produce, and a long list of producers are attached. The series follows a down-and-out New York paparazzi hired to find a missing woman whose disappearance may involve powerful elites and possibly supernatural elements. The package was assembled by Efron and A24, brought to Baylin, and quickly drew HBO's interest after it hit the market.
