Abbott secures CE mark for glucose‑ketone sensors
Abbott has received a CE mark for two Libre Duo glucose‑ketone sensing systems that monitor glucose and ketone levels at one‑minute intervals, making them the first devices of this type to gain that approval. The sensors feed data into Abbott's Libre digital health ecosystem so users can share readings with caregivers and healthcare providers. Libre Duo is for up to 15 days' wear on adults and Libre Duo 10 Day for ten days' wear from age two. Abbott plans a European launch later this year, and both systems are under FDA review with expected US approval in the second half of 2026.
