Meta rolls out Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp subscription plans
Meta has launched global subscription plans called Facebook Plus, Instagram Plus and WhatsApp Plus, priced at $3.99 per month for Facebook and Instagram and $2.99 for WhatsApp. The company said the Plus plans will sit alongside Meta Verified rather than replace it, and announced that additional plans for Meta AI users, creators and businesses are coming soon. Subscribers to Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus gain advanced story tools like rewatch counts, unlimited audience lists, extended story duration and previewing before posting, while WhatsApp Plus adds custom ringtones, new themes and more pinned chats. The rollout broadens Meta’s paid features and user choice.
