Tour de France to start in Reims in 2028
Organisers ASO revealed that the 2028 Tour de France will have its Grand Depart in Reims on June 24 and conclude on the Champs-Elysees in Paris on July 16, a week earlier than usual to accommodate the Los Angeles Olympic Games. Reims was chosen over Luxembourg, although Luxembourg remains on the route and could host more than one stage. Apart from Reims, the first four stages will visit Verdun, the Ardennes region, Metz, Thionville, Charleville-Mezieres and Epernay. The opening stage may suit sprinters, with a hillier second stage aimed at encouraging a change in the yellow jersey.
The 2028 Tour will start in Reims on June 24.
