China demand lifts Nvidia B300 server prices
Strong demand for AI computing equipment in China has pushed Nvidia B300 server prices to about 7 million yuan, or $1 million, nearly double late last year’s level, industry sources told Reuters. The increase followed pressure on grey-market supply after tighter U.S. export curbs and a March prosecution linked to alleged chip smuggling. Nvidia said the B300 is restricted from sale in China and warned that unlawful diversion receives no company service or support. Some buyers are looking at rentals, with one-year contracts reaching as high as 190,000 yuan a month, as Chinese AI token usage grows quickly.
